"Spring is here, and the energy of the bulbs and buds pushing through the earth as it defrosts is palpable. I've just returned from an intensive seminar bursting with ideas. Dinesh Chauhan started by opening up the homeopathic pharmacy of remedies related to love - beyond the well-known remedies with affinities to the heart - to those where love-sickness left "permanent scars" on the skin and the mind and more. He showed us how to look into closely related families of plants that have been scrambled up thanks to DNA sequencing, and integrate our existing knowledge from our best old books with newer understanding of how plants within families share similar homeopathic presentations to the latest understanding of plant relationships. We refine our processes for discovering more as we look beyond our current best attempts...
I love it! No more trying to save the theory, as the first attempts at a homeopathic thematic classification sometimes did. Including a picture to tease the homeopaths among us...marrying the old and the new. Thanks to Marina Braun and Sonam Kushner for organizing this three day marathon! When clients speak the language of the remedy that they resonate with loud and clear, the remedy heals the whole person, from within.
What happens afterwards?
The client can move towards his life purpose. The illness is a gift that, when lifted with a homeopathic remedy, reveals and unlocks one's unique energy. This weekend, Dinesh Chauhan, the sensational homeopath and teacher from Mumbai, showed how he has been moving from treating to coaching by showing some of these clients the full potential - the pattern - within the healing remedy. When that happens, the client and the healer - are both healed and freed.
I feel incredibly blessed to have been able to do this work of moving beyond the symptoms that hold us back, to helping some clients move toward their own purpose in the past couple of years, as my practice has deepened. They go on to tell me, "Homeopathy is so amazing. I want to study homeopathy one day!"
It's gratifying because clients do not attribute the transformation to something outside themselves ("You cured me,") but, rather, have a moment of self-recognition, when they see how the healing remedy connects deeply and broadly many aspects of their lives and themselves, and enables them move forward to what they truly desire, and are uniquely able to accomplish.
So glad to be a part of the group of homeopaths who were with Dinesh this weekend to witness his transformation as a guide and teacher, and to learn from his encyclopedic grasp of homeopathic remedies and his unique way of navigating with the client. Thanks, Marina Braun and Sonam Kushner for organizing it! " Jiuan Heng
"Well said, jiuan. A great teacher deserves a compliment that comes from the heart. Dr. Dinesh's teaching style is inspiring and motivating and it is something I particularly enjoy. No wonder I made a trip (at great expense) all the way from Costa Rica to come to the seminar. His approach to case taking is something I value deeply and try to emulate in my practice." Dr. Vatsala
"The content of the seminar was great, I have learnt so much about the plant order and we got great knowledge about remedies not so well known. I loved his protocols how to take non verbal cases, so much help for us in practice! I appreciated Dinesh' sharing of his ideas about simillimum, disease and the path of healing." Birgit Kleinfeld
"Thanks so much for organizing and hosting such a wonderful seminar. I thoroughly enjoyed Dinesh’s teaching in such a lovely setting, and of course the excellent food and drinks you provided, enabling us to focus just on learning. I liked the way Dinesh explored the impact of the APG Plant classification changes on Sankaran’s work on plant families, and that he showed how including the plant Order in our research can be so helpful. I found his endorsement of Yakir’s work on plants inspiring: her book is clearly a must-buy.
One thing I would like to hear Dinesh speak about is in fact his own evolution as a homeopath, in both his theoretical and clinical work. Something else I would like him to present is his way of working with patients who are not at the sensation level of experience. I would love to hear him focus on that issue in some of his video cases, explicitly pointing out how he brings a person from, for example, the emotional or perception/delusion level to the point of articulating their “vital sensation”.
His final case presentation was particularly exciting and thought provoking for me. It was amazing that he could bring a patient to a “healing level”, which had such a curative effect that it was not necessary for the patient to actually take the remedy. I would love to see him present some more of these cases, which he said occur for him now at a frequency of 1 in 10." Paul Deasy
